The First Tee "Successful Kids" Scholarship Program

Thanks to a lead gift from Pricewaterhouse Coopers and generous donors across the community, 42 deserving students, ages 7 to 11, will receive "Successful Kids" Scholarships in 2014 to attend a full year of after-school and summer programming at The First Tee of Spartanburg. These students are recommended by their PE teachers (whose schools partner with TFTS) based on character, aptitude, and financial need. Did You Know....The First Tee six-hole golf course is open year round and FREE for youth under age 18 to play! $8.00 daily unlimited play for adults. The First Tee National School Program

The First Tee of Spartanburg is proud to partner with Spartanburg School Districts 1, 2, 3, 4, 6 and 7 in bringing core values and healthy habits to over 15,000 students annually. The First Tee National School Program teaches golf and life skills as a part of student PE instruction during school hours. On Friday, September 27, 2013, seventy-six 4th graders from 19 schools applied The First Tee Life Skills & Golf Skills they learn in school at The First Tee of Spartanburg Golf Course at The Creek. 10th Annual Cyder Cup Matches (2013)

The 10th annual Cyder Cup Matches (October 26-27) pit the top amateur golfers from Spartanburg against the top amateur golfers from Greenville to raise awareness and funds to support local programming for The First Tee.
